Catalyst

Rollator mobility aids were introduced in Sweden in the early 1980’s with few changes in the concept since.  Cosco Mobility Products wanted a product line that would advance the Rollator design in terms of adjustability, storage, braking, ease of use, and general aesthetics. 

Market segments for the product varied from temporary use after and accident or surgery to more long term reliance for the physically challenged.  Rather than rely on competitive research in the market, Catalyst instead leveraged its extensive experience in infant walkers and push toys during the ideation phase to study the ergonomic need.  For styling inspiration, Catalyst looked to the exotic car market incorporating spoked wheels, graceful curves, and the look of brushed aluminum.
