For more than 80 years, Evenflo has been a leader in the baby care industry. With a strong reputation for quality, innovation and customer care, consumers trust Evenflo and consider them a top choice in baby care products. When a round of research suggested that their breast pump line could be improved, Evenflo immediately partnered with Catalyst to develop a new design.

Re-establishing the breast pump design in the market place became the main focus of the project.  Catalyst met the challenge to redesign the product around the existing mechanics of the unit while considering the ergonomic implications of the design. Comfort, style and ease of use were paramount in this development. 

While many design firms would have completed the project with sketches, Catalyst took it one step further. As the concepts were finalized, Catalyst sculpted clay models at each level of refinement to evaluate and validate the comfort and ergonomics of each design. This additional step became instrumental in the final decision making process by giving Evenflo the confidence in the design based on the previous research findings.  The successful launch of the breast pump redesign led to a 45% market share in its category.
