Catalyst

The CouponXpress™ desktop Ticket-In-Ticket-Out/coupon printer builds on the technology that has made FutureLogic the leading manufacturer of TITO printers.  Housed in an attractive and rugged cabinet, the CouponXpress printer provides the convenience, flexibility and reliable performance needed for effective coupon campaigns.

Future Logic approached Catalyst with the concept of packaging their cutting edge thermal printer technology in an enclosure that was attractive enough to be placed in upscale gaming areas, yet rugged enough to be used in other unattended locations if needed.  Catalyst worked with Future Logic’s engineers to brainstorm a number of concepts.  Once the final form was chosen, Catalyst’s Industrial Design team refined the concepts and provided photo-realistic renderings and foam models.

The Mechanical Design team worked with Future Logic’s engineers in designing the enclosures such that internal components could be easily installed during manufacturing.  A special light-pipe was designed which illuminated the paper entry/exit opening and a hidden hinge mechanism was added for ease of printer access.  Catalyst then provided finished prototypes for design verification and supported production release with 2D documentation.  Finally, Catalyst provided a complete set of SPRInT tools for all enclosure components and continues to provide production molded parts for the program.
