Leapfrog Learn & Groove Exersaucer

The Leapfrog Exersaucer represented Leapfrog’s initial product offering in the infant and toddler market segment. The Exersaucer offers 360 degrees of discovery with hands-on activities by utilizing a unique seat which can spin with the child. Additionally, the stationary saucer ensures that the child will be safe. The main challenge of the product was in Leapfrog’s commitment to provide an easy to use product that required little to no assembly out of the box. Since the unit was large and was to be manufactured overseas, sending the unit completely assembled was not cost-effective due the shipping of “air” in the large carton and the limited number of units that could be shipped in a container. Catalyst overcame this challenge by designing legs that could be easily telescoped up or down, which not only resulted in cost savings in shipping but allowed the unit to be easily stored or traveled with. |
