Philips-Respironics Unit
|
The Alice Diagnostic Sleep System sets new standards for sleep labs eager to customize powerful features today but interested in flexible architecture to accommodate tomorrow's growth. Philips approached Catalyst with a challenging part design and requested assistance with optimizing the unit for tooling and molding. The unit required 55 brass terminals to be insert molded per unit. Since manually placing the inserts in the tool caused excessively long molding cycles and material degradation in the molding machine barrel, Catalyst devised interchangeable mold inserts in which a second set of brass terminals could be readied and staged while the first set was being molded. |
